In the finale, a glass feather is plucked from an ornament and used by Susie (Jessica Harper) to kill the Black Queen. This is a reference to Argento's directing debut, 'The Bird with the Crystal Plumage'.
An earlier video version released by 'Entertainment in Video' in the UK features an edited opening murder sequence (no knife in the pulsating heart), no throat cutting in the barbed wire room and a less graphic attack on Flavio Bucci by his seeing-eye dog.
