 | video | | The picture is breathtaking! A VERY fine transfer from Cechi Gori Group (CGG). There are very few scratches and dusts spots to be seen. The colours are as vibrant and as strong as they'll ever get. Other dvd companies should take a look at this release and learn something from it. Not much to say except: Bravo CGG!

| sound | | First I took a listen to the Italian DTS soundtrack, and it sounds brilliant. The soundstage is enormous with a lot of action in the surround channels. It is clear and punchy without being vulgar. The 5.1 Dolby Digital track is very similar but it does sound a bit 'thinner' than the DTS. However, both tracks are well balanced and the dialogue is very easy to follow. The English Dolby Digital 2.0 track is a good and solid stereo track with no hiss or distortion. Pino Donaggio's not so excellent score sounds powerful and comes through in a relaxed way without sounding sharp or ugly. Again standing ovations for CGG!

| extras | | This release is a bit thin on extras. You'll find trailers (with not so super good picture sound quality...) for La Setta and La Chiesa. There are also some pages listing the cast and crew. A small photo gallery containing sixteen photos from the movie. Last there are both filmographies and biographies of Dario Argento and Michele Soavi.

| conclusion | | Although not so beefy on the extras this release comes packing a lot of muscles for you viewing pleasure. Both sound and image wise this is a VERY good dvd. I recommend this release to anyone who wants to get the most out of the sect without having to join one!
