JENIFER in th uk!
|
Alan Jones writes:
Hi Nick, here's a stop press item for you. FrightFest is doing an evening event in Brighton on November 26th at the Duke of York cinema. The programme consists of district 13 , the sci-fi action adventure from producer Luc Besson, and boo, the movie we had to drop from the August main event because of transport problems.
Both are great fun and worth seeing. But as an extra special feature Anchor Bay and the Bravo Channel are allowing us to screen for the first time in the UK Dario's 'Masters of Horror' episode jenifer. Everyone is saying it's fantastic - I'll be seeing it at the segment's European premiere in Turin around November 10th. There'll be loads of freebies to accompany the screening too. Sadly I won't be in attendance because I'll be at the Trieste scienceplusfiction festival who are mounting a FrightFest tie-in screening. |

suspiria commentary exclusive!
|
Dark dreams contributor Michael, has done a commentary mp3 to play whilst watching a dvd of suspiria and is making them available for download here.
part 1 - PAL version part 1 - NTSC version
The commentary is in 2 parts and this is part 1. I would suggest not playing this until part 2 is available.
Visit Michael's excellent website here. |

Giallo
(pronounced 'djallo, plural gialli) is an italian 20th century genre of literature and film, which in italian indicates crime fiction and mystery. In the English language, however, it is used in a broader meaning that is closer to the french fantastique genre, including elements of horror fiction and eroticism.
The word giallo is Italian for "yellow" and stems from the origin of the genre as a series of cheap paperback novels with trademark yellow covers.
