suspiria 'definitive edition'? complete rubbish!
The new dvd release of suspiria from CDE in italy has been ruined due to some over zealous restoration according to whiggles. Just look at the screenshots in his comparison with the anchor bay release:

mot in the uk
Alan Jones writes:

"Nick, optimum films will release mother of tears in the uk, probably around February/March. They only have the dvd rights, but I'm talking to them about mounting a theatrical trilogy event in london with Dario present I'll speak to him in Rome next week when I'm there for the Italian premiere and see if I can firm this up."

demonia and mot in london!
DEMONIA and the SATANIC SLUTS at the SLIMELIGHT 1st December 2007

The legendary Daemonia featuring the equally legendary Claudio Simonetti founder of horror gods Goblin are to play their second only ever UK concert on December 1st at the Slimelight where they will be performing tracks from Suspiria, Profondo Rosso, Tenebrae, Inferno and Dario Argento's new film The Third Mother. In fact not only will they be playing tracks from the Argento's new film but the entire film will be projected on screen while Daemonia perform! Also performing on stage at the behest of Daemonia will be blood soaked members of the amazing Satanic Sluts who will be dazzling the audience with their skin-ripping antics and unique flesh and gore shows.

mot us distribution
Myriad Pictures and The Weinstein Company are uniting to handle the North American distribution for mother of tears. Contrary to previous reports coming out of the Toronto International Film Festival, Anchor Bay is not involved.

Giallo
(pronounced 'djallo, plural gialli) is an italian 20th century genre of literature and film, which in italian indicates crime fiction and mystery. In the English language, however, it is used in a broader meaning that is closer to the french fantastique genre, including elements of horror fiction and eroticism.

The word giallo is Italian for "yellow" and stems from the origin of the genre as a series of cheap paperback novels with trademark yellow covers.
