Great news ... after listening to reasoned arguments from people and of course arrow films, the forthcoming bluray of inferno they are releasing will be UNCUT!
I now urge everyone to buy this from arrow. They deserve our support.
I would also like to thank the enlightened BBFC for listening.
It looks like arrow films are releasing inferno on bluray in the uk in august. However, it will be cut due to the law in this country which does not allow the depiction of animal cruelty.
EXCEPT of course when its an 'arty' french film! a boy kills a chicken in front of another boy in hidden and we see it flying around without a head!

romero to remake deep red!
according to the cannes rumour mill, george romero is close to a deal in which he will remake deep red in 3d! However, george himself does not agree in this video interview by fangoria:
"Just announced (13/05/10), Dario Argento's DRACULA in 3D, filming in Italy January, period setting." Argento will write and direct, putting his stamp on the legend."
However this now seems to have been denied by dario himself!

four flies cinema re-release!
In japan it seems they are re-releasing four flies on grey velvet at the cinema.
For all those who haven't checked out red velvet yet (and you should), a copy was sent to dario and he liked it so much he actually contacted one of the producers to tell him. Good thing really as it is a homage to him.
Giallo
(pronounced 'djallo, plural gialli) is an italian 20th century genre of literature and film, which in italian indicates crime fiction and mystery. In the English language, however, it is used in a broader meaning that is closer to the french fantastique genre, including elements of horror fiction and eroticism.
The word giallo is Italian for "yellow" and stems from the origin of the genre as a series of cheap paperback novels with trademark yellow covers.
