Welcome to the largest site on the internet dedicated to Dario Argento - one of the most stylish and visually imaginative director's alive today. This is not intended to be a sycophantic 'shrine' to him but a place for information and enlightenment and hopefully you will leave knowing more than when you came. There are all sorts of cool things within these pages - reviews, filmographies, biographies, interviews, slideshows, video/audio downloads and a forum. For an attempt at explaining why I like his films, click here

UK CARD PLAYER DVD
Just received a review copy of Arrow's DVD and it contains both a dolby surround 2.0 and 5.1 English language audio track, no Italian. Review to follow shortly.

UK STENDHAL DVD
The new release from Arrow of THE STENDHAL SYNDROME appears to be the same as the English language version of the film used by Medusa on the Italian DVD. Better still, it is uncut. It is anamorphic widescreen, dolby digital surround 2.0 and has no extras at all.

Giallo
(pronounced 'djallo, plural gialli) is an italian 20th century genre of literature and film, which in italian indicates crime fiction and mystery. In the English language, however, it is used in a broader meaning that is closer to the french fantastique genre, including elements of horror fiction and eroticism.

The word giallo is Italian for "yellow" and stems from the origin of the genre as a series of cheap paperback novels with trademark yellow covers.
